Rates/Tariffs

All tariffs are quoted in Australian Dollars. Tariffs are for per night, per couple, (or single) per suite.

General House Rules

By the Seaside suites accommodate two adults only and access to the suites is for resident guests only.

Guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not cause disruption to others staying at the property or to neighbouring properties and the noise level must not be audible from neighbouring properties from 10pm to 8am.

In the interest of other guests please keep all noise to a minimum. The volume on the TV should be kept to 1/3 of its capacity or lower.

We reserve the right to remove guests who do not comply and no refunds or alternative accommodation will be given or provided.

Check-In and Check-Out Times

Check-in Time is from 3:00pm
Check-out Time is before 10:00am

Children

Unfortunately, all Suites are purpose-designed for adult couples only and we cannot cater for children at all.

Payments

No credit cards.
Payment is 100% to “By the Seaside” bank account on booking,  then a security deposit of a further 100% 3 days prior to check-in (this will be refunded upon completion of check-out minus any damages).

Non Covid Related Cancellations, Refunds and Booking Alterations

The booking payment is refundable less $50 administration levy if cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the arrival date. If less than 30 days to arrival date the payment is only refunded less the cancellation fee ($50.00) if another guest rebooks the dates of your booking again at the same rates. If not rebooked the total room rate is forfeited.

Alterations to advance bookings can be made 30 day or more prior to arrival, however, such changes will incur a $50 administration levy and any upgrade costs where applicable.  Alterations to bookings less than 30 days prior to arrival can only be accommodated if the room is rebooked, an admin levy of $50 applies.  We are sorry, but room changes mid-stay cannot be accommodated.

Covid Related Cancellations, Refunds and Booking Alterations

Guests directly affected by Covid or Government restrictions enacted due to Covid, will be offered a refund or flexible booking opportunity, less any card fees incurred at the time of booking.

No Smoking/damage-loss/cleaning policy

By the Seaside is a smoke free venue. Smoking is allowed on outside balconies and strictly no smoking inside any rooms. When smoking outside your Room, please close the doors behind you so that smoke does not blow straight back into the room, discard refuse in the ashtrays provided and under no circumstance should guests throw butts over the balcony.

While we do not charge for normal wear and tear, the total cost to replace, repair damage or loss in the suites, building or gardens will be charged to your credit card accordingly; including furniture and furnishings bleached/dyed/marked by health & beauty care products and linen that is marked with massage oils or tanning products etc.

Standard cleaning services on your departure day are included in the tariff and guests are expected to leave the apartment in a neat and tidy state without the need for excessive cleaning.

By the Seaside shall not be responsible or liable to compensate for loss, theft or damage of personal property on, or brought into the Room or in the immediate vicinity of any of the Rooms. If personal items are left behind please send a reply paid envelope/package in order for us to return the items.

The guest must agree to make payment to the owner for any unpaid charges including but not limited to any missing or damaged items (such as herein detailed) on and within the property. The guest hereby acknowledges and accepts responsibility for all charges (including but not limited to the cost of the replacement of missing, damaged or broken items or property, insurance premium excesses and additional cleaning).

Pets

Unfortunately By the Seaside does not accommodate pets.

General Conditions

Where the guest(s) sign for and/or on behalf of a business or company and in the event that the business or company is unable or refuses to pay any amount due, that the guest(s) shall be liable to pay on demand any amount owing by the business or company under this agreement.

Should the term of accommodation be reduced, the Guest hereby agrees to be liable for the appropriate tariff under the current Schedule of Rates.

There is no refund for early departure.

The manager may inspect the Room at any time without notice if the manager is of the opinion that there has been a breach of the Terms and Conditions.

The manager has the right to terminate the guest’s stay and demand immediate departure if the manager feels that there has been a serious breach of the Terms and Conditions.
